Synopsis Serial ini bercerita tentang Kabutack, robot kumbang yang diciptakan oleh Dr. Torahiko Kouenji. Kabutack bersama para robot serangga lainnya ditugaskan untuk mengumpulkan Star Pieces, benda misterius yang memiliki kekuatan luar biasa. Dengan kemampuan berubah menjadi mode Normal Mode dan Super Mode, Kabutack selalu berusaha menegakkan kebaikan. Namun, perjuangannya tidak mudah karena ada kelompok robot serangga lain yang dipimpin oleh Kuwajiro dan kawan-kawannya, yang juga mengincar Star Pieces demi tujuan jahat. Dalam perjalanannya, Kabutack ditemani teman manusianya Kouhei Kouenji, serta para robot sahabat seperti Tentorina, Cobrander, dan robot-robot lain yang lucu sekaligus unik. Kisah Kabutack penuh dengan aksi, komedi, dan nilai persahabatan. Walaupun bergenre Metal Hero, nuansa ceritanya lebih ringan dan ditujukan untuk anak-anak, dengan pesan moral tentang kebaikan, kerja sama, dan keberanian.
